Jordan is on target to deliver another top class World Rally Championship (WRC) event after receiving a glowing report from the FIA on last month’s Middle East event.
Despite some atrocious weather, the Jordan Rally received an incredible report with the FIA observer summing up the marshalling, media operation and promotion, manpower and paper work as “all very very good”.
The report sets the Kingdom up nicely for the return of the WRC from April 1-3, 2010 after it showed that the rally excelled in all of the six main organisational areas incorporating General Organisation, Itinerary, Documentation, Safety, Media and Technical.
The Jordan Rally was roundly praised by all sectors of the rallying fraternity and the observer’s report put the icing on the cake for a memorable weekend which began when thousands of fans packed into Abdoun Circle for the launch.
After two days of thrills and spills, Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah took a giant step closer to retaining his Middle East crown by winning comfortably for the fifth time in seven years.
